Initially leaked by SoleSavy back in April, the adidas Yeezy 500 High ‘Tyrian’ has now been officially unveiled by adidas with a May 16th release date.
The hybrid sneaker/boot comes in an extended cut that tapers towards the ankle for a secure fit, unlike its low-top predecessor. The upper is a mixture of dark brown suede paneling on the exterior with an underlay of black tumbled leather. Dark blue, bulbous padding is added throughout the shoe from the lace stays up towards the ankle collar, and prove to be the most visually striking component of the shoe. Like previous 500 lows and highs, the ‘Tyrian’ colorway uses a protruding adipreme midsole for its cushioning system instead of BOOST material and features an Ortholite insole for extra comfort at a lower price point. The rope laces are secured via a lace locking system further adding to the sneaker’s utilitarian theme.
