Tentatively slated for a July release date, the upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low “ACG Terra” combines the aesthetics of two Nike sub-labels into one cohesive product. Debuted in 1989, Nike ACG (All Conditions Gear) is the brand’s hiking/outerwear/techwear line that focuses on utilitarian design in its apparel and footwear, suitable for any weather conditions. Early Nike ACG models and recently retro’d/vintage-inspired silhouettes from the label don bright colors and patterns in stark contrast to their performance-focused lineup.
The latest from Nike SB is an homage to the vibrant colors of the 90s inspired ACG Terra model. This SB Dunk Low features a black speckled, white midsole that replicates the look of indoor climbing walls. Dark orange stitching holds the signature Dunk midsole in place. The upper of the SB Dunk Low”ACG Terra” is composed entirely out of three different colors of dyed suede: Swooshes are done in bright red to match the tongue tag’s text, while the toebox and side paneling are done in a sleek black. The most vibrant colors on the shoe come from the purple suede overlays and thick, orange laces which contrast to the rest of the sneaker’s darker tones.
