While the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Igloo” and “Rust Pink” currently fetch several thousand dollars over retail, Jordan Brand is finally dropping something at least similar to those grail level kicks. Arriving in women’s and kids’ sizing, the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Igloo” and “Crimson Tint” take some very clear inspiration from the Art Basel exclusive 2017 duo.
Both pairs reimagine the colorblocking of the AJ 1 Black Toe with bright “Igloo” blue and “Crimson Tint” pink in lieu of traditional red. The “Igloo” pair applies it blue coloring to the Swoosh, heel, lace collar, and top portion of the lacestays. The toebox and side paneling are done in your standard white leather while the outsole, mudguard, and bottom half of the lacestays are done in black. On the “Crimson Tint” pair the same color blocking is used but with pink instead of blue, as well as the addition of an outsole in the pair’s titular shade of pink.
