The Air Jordan 3 was pivotal for sneaker culture. Tinker Hatfield was at the helm for its design, and Michael Jordan was soaring to new heights throughout the 1987-1988 season. The two masters of their crafts made the Air Jordan 3 memorable in more ways than one. Its original colorways (“Black Cement,” “White Cement,” “True Blue,” and “Fire Red”) are engrained in the history books for both basketball and sneakers.
Michael Jordan in the Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red”
Jordan Brand is going back into its archives for Fall 2022 as a fan-favorite AJ3 finally returns in OG form. Though the Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red” has released in 2007 and 2013, the lack of the signature Nike Air heel tab left fanatics and purists yearning for a proper retro. The Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red” returns in its signature white, red, and black combination with the white heel tab and red Nike Air lettering.
A release date for the Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red” has yet to be confirmed. However, we anticipate the pair to release in Fall 2022 on SNKRS and select retailers. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
