Aleali May’s Barbie Doll Collab Includes Her Air Jordan 1 Collab

Aleali May is at the top of the game when it comes to collaborations. With a litany of hits through Jordan Brand, the fashion and style icon continues to expand on her impact beyond fashion and sneakers.

Aleali May took it to the ‘gram to share the news of her latest collaborative project — Mattel Creations’ iconic Barbie Doll.

“A toy that can get as fly as I see myself — a representation of the many women I had posters of in my 90s childhood room,” Aleali said in her Instagram caption. “Girl groups, R&B Singers, Rappers & models.. the same girls who showed girls like me, that we can be that girl too & teaching the next up about our inspirations. Honoring the ones who’ve come and looking brightly towards the future.”

The Aleali May x Barbie Doll draws inspiration from her first and most recent Jordan Brand collaborations as the famed Aleali May x Air Jordan 1 “Shadow” and the Aleali May x Air Jordan 14 Low “Fortune” inspire both of the outfits that dress up her Barbi Doll. In addition to the inspirations, her first-ever AJ1 is the footwear of choice for the Barbie Doll.

The Aleali May x Barbie Doll releases on December 3 on Mattel Creations’ website. As always, our monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
