Earlier this month it was announced that Kobe Bryant would be receiving a posthumous Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame induction August 29th, alongside Tamika Catchings, Kevin Garnett, and Tim Duncan. In honor of this historic addition, Goldin Auctions and the Mamba Sports Academy have joined together to auction off a lot of Bryant autographed sneakers, jerseys, and other memorabilia.
5% of all proceeds raised will go towards the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation which provides funding and other financial assistance for a variety of sports-related philanthropic ventures. The foundation provides fundings to sports-focused programs that encourage physical and emotional amongst oft-neglected communities and demographics.
Some of the items being auctioned off include an autographed pair of Nike Kobe IV Protros and the game-worn pair of adidas sneakers from Bryant’s 2001 NBA Finals championship-winning game.
