Brain Dead, the adventurous US streetwear brand from the equally eccentric Kyle Ng, is releasing yet another collaboration with Reebok this year in the form of an all-new Reebok Pump Court colorway. The shoes are set to release August 14th at select retailers such as Nicekicks and will retail for $160 USD.
Ng’s take on the Pump Court sees Brain Dead take a psychedelic brush to the 90s silhouette, applying an assortment of contrasting colors and even some fake fur to the upper. On the toe box you’ll find some white and brown spotted cow print fur which extends back into the middle of the shoe. Cream colored, translucent caging is laid over the top portions of this cow print on the medial and lateral sides as well as the mudguard. This synthetic caging continues up towards the tongue of the shoe and is attached to the white/blue/yellow plastic mechanism that makes up the shoe’s titular pump. A co-branded Reebok / Brain Dead logo insignia appears atop the pump’s button. On the heel you’ll find further unique colorblocking with light brown leather dividing the pump from the blue leather/mesh constructed heel. All these clever vibrant details lay atop a relatively tame Sail midsole with Black accents and an all-black outsole.
