DJ Khaled’s Air Jordan 5 x We The Best collection is set to release soon and the mogul is getting the world ready by doing what he does best recruiting the hottest features. Khaled’s addition to the Jordan Brand alongside the artists joining him for the commercial is just part of Jordan Brand’s long history of working with musicians. For the upcoming Crimson Bliss colorway, Khaled has recruited Yonkers legend Jadakiss and Chicago’s own Lil Durk to help him promote the kicks with a series of freestyles.
“MJ DID!” Khaled proclaims as the OG Ruff Ryder spits a series of bars about the shoes “No matter what, all I ever knew was keep flowing/ Air Jordan 5 We The Best keep going/ Because they didn’t believe in him, only thing you see me in/ The colorway’s amazing, the leather’s premium,” recruiting the spitter who once did the same for an Allen Iverson commercial is only fitting.
Another fitting addition is the verse Khaled gets from the Voice of the Streets who admires the producer’s colorways while reminiscing on his childhood and learning how to style his kicks rapping, “Bet they ain’t got these Jordans on, United Center sold out when I came they say “Jordan home”/ Growing up, them stores always sold out, I had to order some.”
The DJ Khaled x Air Jordan 5 “We The Best” collection is set to release on November 28 via Nike and select retailers.
