Extra Butter and the Three Stripes continue their partnership. This time around, the New York-based boutique and the famed footwear brand are honoring our furry friends with the paw-fect treat.
The upcoming Extra Butter x adidas Equipment CSQ 91 “Best Friend” and the coinciding apparel is a nod to adidas’ EQT line that celebrates its 30th anniversary while showing some puppy love.
Extra Butter reworks the EQT CSG 91 with a muted and wearable palette of light browns, tans, beige and neutral pink. An elevated fabrication of hairy suede and faux pony hair mirrors dogs’ fur and hair coats, while additional bone and paw graphic details on the lace jewel and heel soft cell window bring the story together.
“The relationship between human and canine is a tale almost as long as recorded history itself. And very much a New York City story. From posting up on the front stoop to strolls in Central Park.” said Bernie Gross, creative lead for Extra Butter. “Just hanging out in front of our Long Island City location, you can see every young adult with a dog. The Extra Butter x adidas Equipment CSQ 91 “Best Friend” collection releases on October 1 on ExtraButterNY.com and Extra Butter locations. Limited-edition private label t-shirts, long sleeves, sweatshirts, collars, leashes will be available for purchase, and a specialty dog treat will be gifted with the purchase of the “Best Friend” sneaker. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
