Extra Butter and Saucony tap a childhood classic for inspiration as the white rabbit character from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland novel is found throughout the collection.
The Extra Butter x Saucony Shadow 6000 “White Rabbit” is made with premium leather, pig suede, and reflective mesh underlays. The box and insole were designed with a vibrant and colorful psychedelic overhaul, contrasting the simplicity of the shoe itself. Lastly, Extra Butter has designed the shoe with a hidden element that speaks directly to the original inspiration of “further down the rabbit hole.”
The footwear is accompanied by Extra Butter apparel that includes a t-shirt, hoodie, sweatpants, and deck of playing cards, all featuring the retro 70’s inspired set of psychedelic and campy white rabbit graphics.
“In an age of information overload and technology-influenced social behavior, we’re seeing a shift in questioning one’s purpose, identity, and even how one can alter reality and truth around them.” said Extra Butter’s Bernie Gross. “We’re seeing people utilize the web to dig deeper into knowledge, while others look to disconnect and explore within their subconscious for spiritual or psychedelic enlightenment. The Extra Butter x Saucony Shadow 6000 collection is available on ExtraButter.NY and select EB locations. The collection will have a wider release on January 7.
