However, with such high demand on such a limited collaboration, there has been an influx of fakes and replicas. This guide will teach you some basic knowledge on being able to legit check the Nike x Off-White collab, and help arm you if you choose to pick up a pair after market.
How to Legit Check Off-White x Nike Shoes
Request High Res Photos and Close Ups for Legit Checks
When looking to purchase Off-White from a seller please make sure to request high resolution photos. Low resolution screenshots or poorly lit photos make it difficult to legit check photos digitally.
You should also ALWAYS ask for close up detail shots of the shoes like we have posted below. This is the best way to verify the details are accurate and the shoes are real. Without these extra photos it is practically impossible to legit check a shoe online.

Some final tips:
- Never gift a payment to a seller, always use Paypal invoice.
- If it’s too good to be true, it probably is. Nobody is selling Off-White Nikes for retail or even below market value.
- Try to stick with a buyer who has the receipt, especially when buying a pair in Canada. There’s only a handful of locations that got this collaboration.
The Box
The box is usually a pretty good giveaway on whether or not your pair is authentic. A lot of the fake pairs have the Off-White branding printed badly, and usually the type is off and spaced out. The Off-White branding is done in the ‘Helvetica’ font, which makes it easy to mimick, however most fake boxes don’t get the spacing and type setting correct.
Another sign will be the box tag / size tag on the box. The fake pairs have really terrible stickers, that you can tell the printing is off. Sometimes it can be smudged or misprinted. The tag itself usually has a transparency to it, with a hue of white. If you see any without this, it’s probably fake. A really good tip is that if you are buying a pair in Canada, the box SHOULD have a suggested retail price in CAD. The fakes have not used the Canadian suggested retail price, they usually have US.
The Stitching
The attention to detail on the Off-White collection is incredible. The materials used mixed with the construction are some of the reason why the sneakers are so special. There is a lot of effort and precision that goes into the stitching of the sneakers. They are constructed and crafted with the utmost care and it shows. The number one thing that can help you spot a real pair from a fake pair is the stitching. If it looks messy, uneven, and generally off, then you probably are looking at a fake pair. The stitching on the authentic pairs will be precise, even, and professional.
The Off-White Branding
One of the biggest markings on the entire sneaker is the Off-White branding. Whether it’s the stamping on the medial sides of the sneakers, or the “AIR” or “FOAM” written on the midsoles. On any of the sneakers that are leather, the medial prints will look a lot like a stamp, which it is. You’ll see a bit of a smudge in the type, and not all of the print will be evenly applied. On pairs that are mesh or any other texture, the print will seem faded, and uneven. If it looks perfect, it’s likely fake.
Any of the “AIR” or “FOAM” prints should have a matte finish. Whether it’s the Jordan 1 or the Presto, the text will feel and look matte. If the paint looks glossy or shiny, then it’s likely fake.
The Orange Tab
One constant marking across all of the Off-White x Nike collection is the orange tab. It’s one of the most distinguishing pieces from the entire collection. On the authentic pairs the tab will have a bit of texture to it, it will feel/look like it has tiny little bumps on it. On the fake pairs they will appear to be too glossy, and without a texture. The fake pairs will have rounded corners, while the real ones will be straight.
The Accessories (Zip Tie, Laces, Tissue paper, Insoles)
Lastly one of the best ways to legit check a pair of Off-White x Nike’s are the accessories that come with it.
The shoelaces are a good way to see whether the pair is authentic or not. On the authentic pairs, the branding/type will be printed perfectly, and be a bright white/matte black colour. On the fake pairs, they will look more like a cream colour, and look like the print is about to fall off.
With the printed tissue paper inside the box, the print on the authentic pairs will be vibrant, and have an icy blue look to the colour. The paper will feel premium. On the fake pairs, the print will not be icy blue, but more white. The paper will flimsy and cheap.
The Zip Tie will feel like a thick plastic, that has a matte to touch/feel. The branding will be printed with small little white dots. There will be two smaller round dots/circles beside the opening of the zip tie as well. The corners of the tag will be rounded, if they are straight/rectangular then it’s likely fake.
The insoles will have very perfectly printed Off-White branding on the heel. If it looks messy or uneven, it’s likely fake. There is also pyramids on the insole that are heavily raised towards the top of the insole for OG pairs from 2017. They will be quite pronounced for 2017 pairs.
