Gucci turns 100. It’s the fashion house’s centennial, and the brand hosted pop-ups in Berlin and London in commemoration of its milestone. In Germany, the fashion house took over a building in Kreuzberg, dressing it with an interactive photo booth and listening lounge. These features were a nod to the outdoor photo booths and music scene that the city is known for.
On the other hand, in London, Gucci opened a library-inspired pop-up in homage to the historic bookstores in Shoreditch, a neighborhood that’s essential to youth culture in the city. The space features a curated selection of rare fashion and art volumes.
Both locations feature retail experiences as well. Customers can view the “Gucci 100” collection — ready-to-wear, footwear, and accessories designed especially for this occasion.

Binge-watching
By now, you must’ve heard about or watched the new show on Netflix show “Squid Game.” The show is breaking records and is soon to become the streaming giant’s most-watched show.
The vast success has brought recognition to the show’s stars from fans worldwide and has also caught the attention of high fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton. The fashion house has named HoYeon Jung as its newest global brand ambassador alongside K-pop group, BTS. The partnership succeeds the model’s acting debut on the Korean Netflix show. Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of Women’s Collections, stated, “I immediately fell in love with HoYeon’s great talent and fantastic personality, and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey we started at Louis Vuitton a few years ago.”
Jung stated, “It is an honor to start my acting career with Louis Vuitton, the brand I have modeled for. I look forward to all the moments with Louis Vuitton as a global ambassador.”
She previously walked the runway for the label’s Spring 2017 show, and she’s well-known in South Korea for her career as a model as she placed second on Season 4 of “Korea’s Next Top Model” when she was 20 years old. She made her international modeling debut in 2016 and has also walked the runway for Opening Ceremony, Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Rag & Bone, Alberta Ferretti, and Max Mara. Keep an eye out for more from HoYeon Jung for Louis Vuitton.

Rihanna’s skincare line, Fenty Skin, has added a new product to its lineup targeting the hands. Labeled the Hydra’Reset Intensive Recovery Glycerin Hand Mask, this overnight mask will have you “wake up with cloud-soft hands” which “deeply moisturizes, revitalizes, and nourishes hands while you sleep.” This hand mask is what you’ve been searching for and features glycerin, fruit oils, and plant extracts. The mask is for all skin types — clean, vegan, gluten-free, and earth-conscious. Research shows that it 100% softens hands, replenishes skin, and renews dry, damaged skin overnight. Check out this product to keep your hands soft during the cooler weather, which tends to be rough on the skin.

Spooky season is here, and Vans has collabed with Warner Bros. to create a horror film-themed capsule collection of footwear and apparel. The collaboration highlights Halloween movie classics such as Friday the 13th and The Exorcist.
A Slip-On silhouette features motifs from Friday the 13th with a splash of blood-red. Similar details are seen on the hoodies, caps, and Slide-On slippers. The Era bridges Vans’ signature checkerboard pattern with red balloons from It. Spooky graphics from The Exorcist are seen on a tee and the Old Skool.

As a part of the Holiday 2021 lineup, Jordan Brand dropped the Air Jordan 5 Retro WMNS “Bluebird.” This iteration is a bold take on the classic Jordan 5 model drawing inspiration from WWII fighter planes. The upper is dressed in soft light blue pastel nubuck with tonal signature netting and plastic eyelets. Silver 3M covers the iconic tongue and Football Grey on the liner. Taking it down the silhouette, navy and metallic silver midsoles, and an iced-out translucent outsole completes the design. Were you able to cop a pair?
