James Harden’s future with the Philadelphia 76ers is unclear, but there’s smooth sailing ahead for him and adidas Basketball, who is already working on Harden’s signature shoe.
Images leaked by Sesame Unboxing give us our first look at the upcoming adidas Harden Vol. 8, showing the silhouette will have a knitted, sock-like bootie system, a toecap pulled from its predecessor, and a TPU cage reminiscent of the adidas Yeezy 700.
The Harden Vol. 7 receives praise from hoopers as one of the best performance basketball sneakers on the market, so there are some hefty expectations to build off the shoe.
During his postseason run, The Beard drew national attention for the eye-popping player-exclusive colorways of his latest signature shoe. Amid his up-and-down performances, Harden stole the show (and home-court advantage) in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, dropping 45 points on the Celtics at TD Garden, and he continued his heroics in Game 4, where he recorded 42 points and nine assists en route to the 76ers’ victory in overtime.
