If you’re Jordan Brand, how do you build on the success of the Luka 1? You start by upgrading the IsoPlate, incorporating full-length Formula 23 cushioning, and integrating a new medial Cushlon foam wedge.
Upon its reveal, Jordan Brand unveiled five colorways of the Jordan Luka 2: the “LukA.I,” “Quai 54,” “Nebula,” “Matador,” and “Lake Bed.”
First seen in April by Doncic against the Sacramento Kings, the Luka 2 “Luk.AI” appears bulkier than its predecessor. Jordan Brand adds blue speckles across the Luka 2’s midsole and shoelaces, adding to its futuristic mystique. For the base, we have black and purple nubuck panels mixed with sections of Flywire designed to withstand every jab step. The traction pattern is an update over the original instead of a complete remake.
In the announcement, Jordan Brand confirmed the Jordan Luka 2 “Luk.AI” will become available to select Nike members on July 5th, and its global release will come on July 11th. Other colorways will release at a later date.
