Mizuno is paying homage to the Wave Rider’s history with the brand-new Wave Rider Beta.
The upcoming release is more a lifestyle sneaker than a runner, but it utilizes the sole of the Wave Rider 26, Mizuno’s latest and best-selling running shoe. Craftsmanship is the focus, as a mesh base is overlayed with suede paneling. Two colorways will mark the Wave Rider Beta’s debut in cream/navy and cream/green.
This confluence of lifestyle and performance should be supremely comfortable, as the Wave Rider 26’s midsole utilizes a Enerzy foam and a Wave plate for high cushioning with a stable platform. So while the Beta version looks like an older model, it certainly won’t feel like one.
Look for the Wave Rider Beta to release March 24 for £150 through Mizuno and select other retailers. Download the DROPS by SoleSavy app so you don’t miss out on all the latest sneaker news.
