It’s not often you’ll find a high-end fashion house team up with an athlete, but all-star tennis player Naomi Osaka is anything but predictable. The three-time Grand Slam champion and #1 ranked player by the Women’s Tennis Association is getting her own collaborative sneaker done by none other than COMME des GARÇONS and Nike. The COMME des GARÇONS x Naomi Osaka x Nike Blazer Mid, features a woven canvas upper in White with Pure Platinum text patterning inserted throughout. The pattern reads out: “NAOMI OSAKA COMME DES GARÇONS HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS”. An additional layer of paintbrush style text reading “Home is where the heart is” alongside Osaka’s signature is splattered across the lateral side of the shoe. The standard white midsole and laces remain intact.

Osaka has been a vocal fan of CDG for years and is known to wear the brand’s gowns when receiving her tennis awards. Considering the shoe’s origins as a Japanese & American effort, it is further emblematic of Osaka’s proud Japanese-American heritage. A release date and price point have yet to be confirmed for the COMME des GARÇONS x Naomi Osaka x Nike Blazer Mid, but a November launch has been rumored.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
