Last year, a limited run of 1800 co-branded JJJJound x Reebok Club C Vintage sneakers were dropped at Montreal pop-up shops and online, selling out instantaneously. Fast forward to 2020 and the internet mood board turned bonafide label JJJJound have begun prepping their next sneaker collab.
Teased on Saunder’s JJJJound Instagram account with the caption “JJJJ2020”, audiences at home have gotten a glimpse at the minimalist sneaker. While only a cropped photograph of a sample, it appears JJJJound is returning to the Club C silhouette but making a few subtle alterations. On the 2020 Club C it looks the sneaker will feature hairy brown suede interior and insole, while maintaining the clean white upper of its predecessor.
Past projects such a collaboration New Balance 990 v4 now fetches quadruple digits on the after-market while a series of coveted, Virgil Abloh co-signed hoodies instantly sell out whenever a sporadic restock is announced. If previous JJJJound releases are any indicator, the latest from the Montreal-based minimalists is sure to turn some heads.
