Since 1987, Nike’s Air Max line has become a cultural moment, with each innovation drawing from heritage and propelling Swoosh technology into the future. Nike has an all-new Air Max model on the way, as initially reported by Complex‘s Brendan Dunne.
The Nike Air Max Scorpion bodes similarities to the VaporMax as an enlarged, uncaged full-length Air unit elevates the shoe’s sole for a platform look. The forthcoming Air Max Scorpion design includes a Flyknit upper and a new Swoosh design that bleeds into the shoe’s midsole.
According to the documents viewed by Complex, the Nike Air Max Scorpion follows the Air max 270 and the Air Max 720, also notable Air Max models with enlarged, futuristic Air units. The shoe is headlined by the motto “tomorrow’s comfort today.”
The Air Max Scorpion will release alongside Nike’s plans for an Air Max takeover that includes the Air Max 97 and the Air Max 1, according to Complex.
The Nike Air Max Scorpion is rumored to release in fall 2022. However, a release date has not been confirmed. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
