The sneaker industry has a resell problem. Time and time again, releases are botted up, leaving sneakerheads empty-handed and frustrated. There’s no better example of the state of the industry than the Nike Go FlyEase. The shoe was created to help individuals get in and out of sneakers hassle-free by not requiring hands, which has been praised for its inclusivity.
While the shoe and its ethos are pure and well-intentioned, the pair’s pre-heat drop and limited quantities have made this accessible-centered sneaker inaccessible. As a company and community aiming to restore sneaker culture, we announced our latest initiative helping sneakerheads get their hands on the pair for retail, ensuring that this shoe is given to those who need it the most and not feeding the resell beast.
Members will have the opportunity to purchase a pair of the Nike Go FlyEase at a retail price of $120.00 USD. We selected as many members as we could and will be completely maximizing our $15,000.00 USD budget. Members who were selected can expect to receive an email in the coming days with the next steps. To not inflate the secondary market price of the sneaker even further, the rollout is expected to take upward of eight weeks to complete.
We want to thank everyone who shared their stories with us, and we look forward to getting pairs into the hands (and on the feet) of the people who need them.
This is just a small piece of the SoleSavy puzzle and our efforts to prioritize the sneaker community. Join SoleSavy for more.
