After 20 years of hooping at the highest level, Kobe Bryant created a lasting legacy, especially when it comes to sneakers. Though he may have had a plethora of colorways of his long-lasting Nike line, none may be more famous than the Kobe 6 “Grinch,” that he first donned against the new look Miami Heat on Christmas 2010. After first popping up in 2021, Nike has confirmed it will release this holiday season.
After the successful return of the original “Grinch” in 2020, a new colorway was spotted on the feet of PJ Tucker and Anthony Davis, fueling rumors of an impending release. The colorway dubbed the “Reverse Grinch” takes the iconic Dr. Suess-inspired colorway and inverts it, the usual green scales that drew from the dangerous green mamba have been converted to red while the laces and Kobe logo on the tongue have been flipped to green to maintain the Christmas-y feel.
