The Nike LeBron 20 “Time Machine” Drops on September 29th

LeBron James is heading into his 20th NBA season next month. We’ve seen the LeBron 20 on social media all summer through off-season workouts and AAU games. With the season on the horizon, official images of the “Time Machine” colorway and its drastic shift in look and design have surfaced.

Immediately, the colorway evokes the “South Beach” vibes with its combination of light mint green on the upper and a pink outsole, while a splash of orange accentuates the eyelets. A graphic on the midsole near the toebox sneaks in even more detail, with “Chosen 1” hidden in the filigree. The most notable change is the height of the shoe, LeBron has opted for heavier, mid-top sneakers for most of his career, but the LeBron 20 is a vast departure with its much lower and lighter build.

The LeBron 20 returns to the knit construction that James has been so fond of as of late for ultimate breathability and foot mobility. A carbon fiber midfoot shank adds support while Zoom Air in the forefoot and heel add cushioning. The lateral side features double stacked Swoosh, with the topmost Swoosh being iridescent and XX dubraes on the laces, both symbolizing the King’s 20-year career. LeBron branding on the heel and outsole complete the look.

“We saw the XX as a chance to celebrate the next 20 years for LeBron,” says Jason Petrie, Senior Footwear Designer for Men’s Basketball and lead designer of the LeBron line since the Zoom LeBron VII. “The stitched tag inside the tongue says, ‘Designed and Engineered to the Exact Specifications of the Next Generation.’ We took that line seriously as we designed the shoe. We had players like LeBron’s sons Bronny and Bryce in mind. We wanted to get in their heads and learn about what young players were looking for.”

The Nike LeBron 20 “Time Machine” is set to release soon via Nike and select retailers. The retail price has been set at $200.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
