Reminder that the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High ‘TurDUNKen’ drops tomorrow exclusively at Concepts with Special Packaging
This will by no means be an easy release, but I expect everyone to have a fairly decent chance at this pair. They will most likely drop around 1000 pairs online just like they did for the Purple Lobsters
For the past few months of releases on Concepts, people have been getting 429 Shopify Bans upon submitting payment. This is something that only really happens on other Shopify sites if you refresh checkout too often, your IP is flagged or you were “too fast” to checkout.
Only on Concepts are majority of people seeming to get 429 at Payment for no reason. This ban has nothing to do with autofill of any kind like I’ve seen people say. From my experience, I’ve been hit with the 429 ban almost every single time I’ve used a Credit Card to pay. I’ve also noticed that a lot of the times I don’t get the ban are when I don’t pre-cart in any way.
With all that being said, and looking at people’s experiences today, I would first off highly recommend using Paypal to pay. This is a slower method of payment, but the Vaporwaffles didn’t sell out for almost 8 minutes because almost everyone was getting this ban.
I would also recommend having 2 separate browser sessions open and split screening for this release. I would do the advanced method in one, and in the other I would simply just login prior to drop, click the atc links at drop time and wait in queue. It seems like almost everyone who was able to purchase today did not have any session active before the drop and had to wait in queue normally at drop time.
Just to make it clear, these are not foolproof methods to bypass the error. Unfortunately, I’m sure some people will still end up getting the 429 errors. Nobody knows the exact reason why this has been happening or how to solve it, but this stuff is that I’ve noticed has worked for me and what I’ve observed from other people’s experiences.
Concepts has not announced a release time, but it will most likely be 10AM EST or 11AM EST. The entire special box set retails for $249 USD
