After the success of Melody Ehsani’s take on the OG women’s only sneaker, the Jordan has unveiled some of their future plans for the 90s classic.
Arriving in an all-white, full leather upper with powder blue tread and lining, the Air Jordan Women’s ‘UNC Blue’ pays tribute to the UNC Tar Heels basketball team and its storied history. The last UNC Blue Jordan was an Air Jordan 3, so it’s great to see a larger range of options for female sneakerheads slowly begin to grow.
If the understated white and blue kicks just aren’t your thing, the brand is also offering the silhouette in a black and white leather/mesh version. Black leather paneling takes up most of the canvas this time around, with swirls of white mesh appearing across the medial sides and match with the thick, all-white sole. A minuscule Jumpman is imprinted in black along with the midsole for that seal of authenticity.
It’s safe to say, the Women’s Air Jordan is here to stay.
