The fourth Salehe Bembury x New Balance installment is coming soon. After announcing a release date for his Crocs collaboration, the designer has unveiled his latest creation with the Boston-based brand — the New Balance 574 “Yurt.” The design and namesake of the shoe draw from the round tent covered with skins or felt used primarily by groups in Central Asia.
The Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574 Yurt reimagines a classic with new tooling and an earthier tone on the grey upper that also dons a new design that includes a whistle on the shoe’s heel. Yes, a whistle. Serving for both fashion and function the Yurt’s design is inspired by the trails, nature, and survival while outdoors. New Balance’s signature premium suede brings the yurt to life as Bembury and the footwear brand are ready to roll out their newest creation in the upcoming months.
The Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574 Yurt “Grey” and “Multicolor” release on October 22 for $150 on NewBalance.com and select retailers. The drop will also include a collection of apparel from hats, hoodies, and more for $60.00-$140.00 for Ready-to-Wear, and $30 for accessories. A release date for the other colorways has yet to be announced. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
