2022 is the year of the Air Jordan 2. With J.Balvin’s pair dropping recently and Detroit’s Two18 on the way, South African premium streetwear store Shelflife is showing love to the low version of the Air Jordan 2.
The silhouette uses a mixture of premium materials and a blend of white and cream colors throughout for a deluxe experience. The heel and side panel are adorned with scaled reptilian leather, the eyelets and toebox are finished with suede, and the mudguard is clean white leather.
Tan accents appear on the piping around the tongue, the side panel, and the plastic heel counter. Hints of orange appear on the outsole, the Jordan Wings logo on the tongue, and the inner “Team” and “Only” branding on the inner tongues of left and right sneakers, respectively. Co-branded hangtags, graphic insoles, and a semi-translucent outsole and heel counter complete the look. A special box with postcard graphics referencing Detroit, the Philippines, and South Africa connects it with the upcoming Two18 and Titan Jordan 2 collabs.
A release date for the Shelflife x Air Jordan 2 has been set for October 21 via Nike and select retailers. A retail price tag of $200 has been set.
