Key sneaker releases for the week for April 8th – 14th, 2024.

This week Joe Freshgoods launches his latest New Balance collection and Nike gives us a trio of Kobe Protros in honor of Kobe’s final NBA game.

Joe Freshgoods x New Balance ‘When Things Were Pure’ CollectionApril 11th

The New Balance 1000 is making a return this year, and Joe Freshgoods is rolling out the red carpet. JFG is no stranger to nostalgic storytelling, and this collaboration only continues the motif. Dubbed the “When Things Were Pure” collection, the collaboration features two colorways of the NB 1000 that celebrate the turn of the century. The Y2K aesthetic has made its return, and JFG is at the forefront of those nostalgic feelings.

Hidden NY x Asics GEL-NYC – April 12th

After their member’s release a few weeks ago, everyone’s favorite moodboard is finally expected to release their collaboration at ASICS account boutiques. The runner appears in a classic white and silver colorway with the- almost signature- moodboard green throughout the upper. The pixelated motifs on the logos are nods to HIDDEN’s digital roots and designs. Though this collaboration is expected to be better stocked than their GT-2160 collab from last year, there is no reason to expect these to sit around for too long.

Air Jordan 5 ‘Sail’April 13th

One of the first releases of Jordan Brand’s Summer season is the Sail Air Jordan 5. With nods to classic colorways of Jordan 5’s, the Sail takes those classic feelings whilst creating a new trendy colorway. Nike Kobe 6 Protro ‘Italian Camo’ – April 13th

Originally released in 2011, Nike is bringing back the ‘Italian Camo’ Kobe 6 this week in honor of Kobe’s final NBA game. When Kobe was a young child, his family moved across the globe for his father to play in the Italian Basketball League. This pair pays homage to basketball’s heritage in Italy as well as Kobe’s time in Italy. The red hits on the swoosh and tongue logo are representative of the Italian flag, while the camouflage pattern is inspired by the colors and landscape across Italy’s countryside. Launching on SNKRS US on April 13th.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
