How long have you been collecting sneakers?
I’ve been collecting since 2014. A friend I went to college with worked at Footlocker at the time and they hooked me up with a pair of Air Jordan 6 “White Infrared”.

About 120.

Since the beta in 2018.
What is the oldest sneaker in your collection?
Jordan Retro 5 Oreo from 2013, had no idea what they were back then, but I loved them when I saw them in-store.
What’s the sneaker that got you hooked?
The Air Jordan 1 “Carmine”. They were my first Jordan 1, and definitely not my last.
What’s your best steal or retail cop?
The biggest steal I got was from a SoleSavy member recently. I bought two pairs of Yeezys, the Oreo and Beluga 2.0, and a pair of Toro 4s for under $200.
What’s “the one that got away” for you?
In 2017 during Air Max Month, I managed to get the “Anniversary Royal” and “Anniversary Red” Air Max 1s from Nike.ca but the “Atmos” pair slipped right through my fingers. Kept trying to cart not realizing it was already there, but it was too late and they were gone.
What are five sneakers every person should have?
Air Jordan 1, a nice premium leather Air Force 1, Air Max 1, adidas Ultra Boost, and New Balance 550.
What’s a sneaker in your collection that always gets looks/compliments when you wear them?
The usual hot collab always gets a compliment from other sneakerheads, but my favorite pair that always gets looks and compliments is my CNCPTS x Nike Dunk High “Ugly Christmas Sweater”. They’re super festive and not something you see every day!
What’s the most you’ve done for a pair of shoes?
I haven’t really done anything crazy but I did have to trade multiple pairs from my collection to get the Off-White Air Jordan 4.
Best sneaker trade?
Yeezy 350 Cream for Yeezy 750 Chocolate – which I later sold and regret now…

What pairs are you currently watching / what will be your next pick-up?
Currently, I’m keeping my eye out for the Crocs x Salehe Bembury Pollex Clog in “Stratus”, just missed a restock on SSENSE!
How do you think the sneaker game has changed since you started collecting?
Speaking from my personal experience, I used to be able to wake up for a release on Nike.ca and have a pretty easy time copping whatever shoe I was after. I remember walking into Footlockers and grabbing pairs on release days. Now everything is a raffle and SNKRS CA is impossible. I think the last pair of shoes I got from there were the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6s. Even some GR sneakers are hard to cop these days, it’s crazy.
What is your biggest frustration with sneakers as a whole right now?
There are so many pairs coming out every week. I can barely keep up sometimes.
