How long have you been collecting sneakers?

I’ve been collecting sneakers since 2013.

How many pairs do you currently have in your closet?

Around 30 pairs.

How long have you been a member?

I’ve been a SoleSavy member since the summer of 2019.

What is the oldest sneaker in your collection?

I have a pair of Jordan Jumpman Lite from 1998.

What’s the sneaker that got you hooked?

The Air Jordan 1 “Bred” is the shoe that got me hooked, and it’s my favorite shoe of all time. My late uncle gifted me a pair when I was 11, and that sparked my love for that shoe and sneakers in general.

What’s your best steal or retail cop?

My biggest steal was a pair of Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” from 2013. The guy I purchased them from was desperate to move them, and I got them for under retail.

What’s “the one that got away” for you?

It has to be the Off-White x Air Jordan 4. The release still haunts me to this day.

What are five sneakers every person should have?

Air Jordan 1s, Jordan 4s, Chuck 70s, New Balance 992s, and Merrell Hydro Mocs.

What’s a sneaker in your collection that always gets looks/compliments when you wear them?

It’s definitely my SoleSavy 1s. The materials, colorway, and execution on this shoe are all top-notch.

What’s the most you’ve done for a pair of shoes?

I camped out for the 2019 Air Jordan 4 “Bred” at the Nike Employee Store. I left my house at 1 AM and drove for two hours to get to the store, and waited a good eight hours in the cold rainy weather before I could go in the store and grab the shoes. I was waiting for so long sitting in a chair that when I stood up, I could barely feel my legs. It was worth it since the Air Jordan 4 “Bred” is one of my favorite shoes ever, and I got it under retail.

Is there a pair in your collection that always gets slept on?

The Merrell Jungle Moc Explorer for sure. They are super comfortable and surprisingly very versatile.

What pairs do you have for sale or trade on COLLECT right now?

I have a few things up for trade on COLLECT right now, including the Nike Kobe 8 “Barcelona Tiger.”

What pairs are you currently watching / what will be your next pick-up?

I’m currently on the hunt for some Nike Kobe Protro models as well as some D Rose Restomod models. But my next pickup will definitely be a pair of Nike LeBron 20s.

How do you think the sneaker game has changed since you started collecting?

The availability of shoes is ridiculous now. Brands aren’t making as much stock, and resellers are capitalizing on it. If you told me ten years ago that hoop shoes are coming out in limited quantities, and being resold, I would not believe it at all.

What is your biggest frustration with sneakers as a whole right now?

Reselling is the worst thing that has happened to the sneaker game. The pure love and joy for sneakers is dying out. The younger generation is either buying shoes for clout, or to make a profit, as opposed to having a genuine love for the shoe, its history, and appreciation for its technology, and design.

Brand rapid fire: What is your favorite Nike, adidas, Jordan, and New Balance model?

Nike: Zoom Kobe 5

Adidas: adiZero Rose 1.5

Jordan: Air Jordan 1

New Balance: 992

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
