Fans of NBA Top Shot will have the chance to commemorate their unique collection of highlights on a special-edition colorway of the SoleSavy 4, limited to 499 pairs. The Gold and Black design was created at Garrixon Studio in Philadelphia, PA, and utilizes IP rights from the Metallic Gold LE set from NBA Top Shot Series 4, released between October 2022 and April 2023.
The Rare set showcases a “full collection of must-have highlights from NBA Top Shot in a scarce, gleaming gold collectible design.” Gleaming gold transfers from Web3 to the physical via premium leather with a gold finish. Other materials include breathable mesh upper panels, a memory foam ankle collar, and premium suede on the mudguard and heel. Additional Top Shot inspiration comes on the tongue graphic, insoles, box design, and an iridescent hit on the toebox as a nod to the Series 4 label found on the MGLE set artwork.
The SS4 made history in 2022 as one of the first digital and physical sneaker releases. It was designed by renowned footwear industry veterans Gemo Wong and Justin Taylor. The two brought a combined 40+ years of design experience to create SoleSavy’s first original sneaker. Wong previously led Special Projects and Jordan Brand, where he worked on iconic designs like the Off-White, Travis Scott, and Dior collaborations. Taylor was the lead designer on signature sneaker collections for Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, and more.
Each order will receive a free common NBA Top Shot pack as well. Packs will be air-dropped before delivery of the sneakers. To claim your pack, you must have an NBA Top Shot account. Additionally, each order will receive an NBA Top Shot Moment curated by SoleSavy, featuring our favorite Moments. Continuing the inspiration from NBA Top Shot, customers who order the SS4 MGLE will have a 5% chance of receiving either an MGLE Rare Moment or Rookie Debut Moment from either Victor Wembanyama, Paolo Banchero, or Anthony Edwards. A full list can be found below. Single Moments will be randomly distributed by QR code inside each box of the SS4 MGLE. Customers can scan the QR code to open the link to their unique moment.
The SS4 MGLE, NBA Top Shot-inspired sneaker, is limited to 499 pairs. Early access for NBA Top Shot MGLE set holders (all series), SoleSavy members, and SS4 NFT holders will begin April 22nd at 12 PM PST / 3 PM EST. Email access will be granted on April 23rd to users who submit their email here. The public sale will begin April 24th at 12 PM PST / 3 PM EST. The sale will end on April 29th at 11:59 PST or when the shoes sell out, whichever comes first.
The SS4 MGLE will launch for $175 USD + shipping. We will ship globally to support NBA Top Shots’ global audience.
