The latest entry in adidas’ year-long A-ZX series sees the German brand partner up with Lego for an off-kilter project. By covering the shoe with bright, primary colors, the adidas ZX-8000 is transformed into a playful, yet somehow still, practical piece of footwear. The most traditional aspect of the shoe is its continues features bright silver mesh as its base with beige suede detailing added throughout the lacestays, heel, and mudguard. The protruding sections of lego pieces can be seen molded to the heel cup and lacestays while a completely intact block can be seen used for the lace locks. A yellow/green colored midsole sit atop a red outsole further mimicking the look of the popular kid’s toys. Also included in the release is the unique shoebox made out of several molded together legoblocks. Its unclear if those blocks can actually be removed and used but its definitely worth a try if you can get your hands on a pair.
The LEGO x adidas ZX 8000 releases September 25th for $150 USD.
