The Nike Air Zoom BB NXT Debuts This July

After being revealed at Nike’s New York Fashion Week presentation earlier this year, the newest addition to the brand’s line of Zoom Air equipped NEXT% sneakers is the Nike Air Zoom BB NXT. Unlike the marathon runners and lifestyle sneakers also teased at the event, this model is, as its name suggests, a performance basketball sneaker.

The exposed REACT foam midsole adds extra cushioning, while an interior carbon fiber plate extends to the forefoot for further propulsion on the court. Two Zoom Air units are equipped under the ball of the foot for better impact absorption. The lightweight upper is a mix of knit/mesh material and a plush foam interior to support quick movements and protect one’s ankle, heels, and foot. The debut colorway will be done in Black/Volt Green to match the rest of the NEXT% series, while a second colorway dubbed “Rawthentic” will feature lighter grey tones and a Red/Blue gradient midsole.

The OG Nike Air Zoom BB NXT “Dangerous” drops July 25th in North America with the “Rawthentic” colorway slated for a Fall 2020 release.
