After dropping a slightly remodeled take on the original Parley x adidas Ultraboost Uncaged last month, the two brands have reunited yet again for a new iteration of this environmentally friendly sneaker. By swapping out the BOOST midsole found on the Ultraboost Uncaged for adidas’ proprietary 3D printed “4D” midsoles, a new sneaker with multiple layers of design innovation has been created.
Dubbed the Parley x adidas Ultra 4D Uncaged, this sleek, blacked-out shoe features Parley’s familiar light blue stitching across a primeknit pattern built from ocean waste material. Subtle Three-Stripes branding is knit in light grey across the lateral sides, all sitting atop the main attraction, an obsidian black 4D midsole. The end result is a stylish, sustainable approach to modern footwear design that puts both company’s strengths at the forefront.
