This long year is finally starting to wind down with only the final quarter of 2020 left. It’s been a year full of delayed and canceled releases due to the pandemic but also one filled with week after week of highly coveted drops. With only a few months remaining, we’ve decided to breakdown the most anticipated sneaker drops left this year, covering everything from restocks to brand new collaborations and colorways.
adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 “Carbon”

Formerly known as the “Asriel” colorway, the upcoming adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 “Carbon” is set to be a huge success. As a mainly black shoe, the versatility of the colorway is sure to make these hit among both sneakerheads and casual fans alike and will be stocked at several retailers worldwide.

Set to release in full family sizing, one of the most beloved 350 V2s is getting a substantial restock this December. While some fans may be tired of all the earth-toned colorways that have been coming out over the last year, the Black/Red was an instant classic upon release and will likely be a hit in 2020 as well.
adidas Yeezy Boost 700 v3 “Eremial”

We’re honestly not too sure about this one’s name either. With its chunkier build taking cues from the OG 700 and 700 v2 and its smoother, almost organic structure, the 700 v3 is one of Kanye’s more experimental offerings with adidas. This muted brown colorway of the alienesque shoe is primed and ready for those Winter fits when it hits retailers later this December.
Air Jordan 1 High “Dark Mocha”

Stepping away from the Yeezys now, it’s impossible to talk about the best upcoming shoes of 2020 without mentioning the incredible year the Air Jordan 1 has been having. This upcoming leather/suede “Dark Mocha” colorway is a tasteful, spiritual successor to the Travis Scott AJ 1 Highs. With stock guaranteed to be far, far higher than the Cactus Jack 1s, the AJ 1 “Dark Mocha” is set to be October’s most anticipated release – and one of the year’s best.
Air Jordan 1 High CO.JP “Midnight Navy”

The companion piece to this year’s AJ 1 CO.JP “Metallic Silver”/”Neutral Grey” arrives this November in the form of the “Midnight Navy” colorway. Much like its shiny counterpart, the AJ 1 CO.JP “Midnight Navy” is a modern update on a Japan-exclusive colorway from 2001. While the original AJ 1 CO.JP pack released in extremely limited quantities and was a region exclusive, this 2020 retro is set to release at multiple retailers worldwide which all our members will surely be prepared to cop from.
Air Jordan 4 “Tech Red” (Fire Red)

While many of the shoes on our list have yet to be given official, public release dates, the AJ4 “Tech Red” has luckily been introduced to the world via everyone’s most beloved/hate app, Nike SNKRS. Set to release during the retail madness of Black Friday, this drop is especially commemorative as it is a true retro of the OG “Fire Red” colorway, down to the “Nike Air” branding on the heel.
Air Jordan 11 “25th Anniversary”

It’s a well-known tradition from the Jumpman to release a special edition AJ 11 for the holiday season. Most recently, we saw a record-breaking retro of the “Bred” colorway. This December, Jordan Brand is gearing up to celebrate the silhouette’s 25th anniversary. Arriving in a special edition box and premium materials, the sleek, iced out AJ 11 “25th Anniversary” pulls out all the stops in this luxurious holiday release.

The latest entry in the Air Jordan series, the AJ 35 has been teased in a variety of colorways in recent weeks, including a fragment design collaboration. While we have yet to hear what the lead colorways will be, this on-court equipped hightop evolves the design language of its predecessor the AJ 34 in all the right ways. Equipped with an updated Eclipse Plate and a variety of different materials and textures, the shoe is on all our radar.
Nike Air Max 95 Neon OG

While the soon to arrive, all-denim take on the AM 95 “Neon” by DENHAM is already on many of our radars, there’s no replacement for an OG retro. For the first time since 2015, the original colorway of this beloved 90s silhouette is returning to retailers worldwide and it couldn’t be more welcomed. Complete with 3M detailing and that iconic volt green/neon accenting, these should always be in a sneakerhead’s rotation.
Nike Air More Uptempo OG

This holiday season will also see sneakerheads treated to a reissue of the Nike Air More Uptempo in its OG black/white colorway. Following Supreme’s version of the Uptempo in 2017, the exaggerated silhouette immediately rose to prominence once again, releasing in a slew of colorways and off-shoot collabs as recently as this month. This retro’ing of the original Uptempo colorway is another one of those releases that have the potential to reignite a slowly meandering interest in the model moving forward to 2021.
Off-White x Air Jordan 5 “Sail”

Virgil Abloh’s Off-White collaborations with Nike and Jordan Brand have undoubtedly become the benchmark for hyped sneaker releases. Teased via Instagram stories since the launch of the original Off-White Jordan 5s, the upcoming “Sail” colorway sees Abloh take the vintage distressing trend of 2020 to its logical conclusion. Constructed to look like a vintage pair of white/fire red Jordan 5s, the shoes’ sail uppers, yellowed midsoles, and “stained” rubber outsoles are the high fashion equivalent to buying a real vintage pair of Js.
Off-White x Nike Air Zoom Tempo Next%

Another Virgil Abloh production that has been kept relatively under wraps is his upcoming collaboration on Nike’s brand-new Air Zoom Tempo Next% running shoe. Debuting earlier this year as a companion piece to Nike’s record-breaking Air Zoom AlphaFly Next%, this model was designed to support athletes as a training sneaker outside of the big races. While we can’t see anyone running a marathon anytime soon in some OW Nikes, we’re all looking forward to seeing just how the two brands will work together to turn this runner into one of 2020’s more coveted streetwear pieces. New Balance

Finally, we can’t leave out the meteoric resurgence of New Balance in 2020. The final quarter of this year is set to be filled with a variety of well-timed restocks and a few surprise collaborations. As announced in a recent episode of The Complex Sneakers Podcast by New Balance’s Senior Manager of Global Collaborations, the tail end of the year is going to see the American brand tackle a slew of collaborations and restocks that fans new and old will surely appreciate. With Spring/Summer 2021’s official release of the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1300s serving as just one glimpse into the brand’s future, we’ll be seeing a lot more heat from NB in the coming months.
